Exploring the East Coast Mainline – Manors, Newcastle & Chester-Le-Street

Given that both were explored in the same day, it makes sense that this Exploring the East Coast follows on the from the last. This Exploring the East Coast had me starting at the least used station in Tyne and Wear, Manors, before continuing into Newcastle itself and then visiting the oddly underserved Chester-Le-Street.

PRG to ZRH Swiss Economy

After a very busy few days ticking off three new countries, exploring three new cities and travelling on three international trains it was time to break the run of threes and catch the first of two flights that would get me back to Heathrow to end my trip. Despite booking my flights with Lufthansa, I was actually flying with a different member of the Lufthansa Group, Swiss International Air Lines, commonly known simply as Swiss.

Prague – The Golden City

Having only briefly passed through the city on my way to Budapest, I arrived back into Prague’s Hlavna station onboard the Hungaria from Bratislava, with a couple of nights stay planned in the city to explore. Known as the ‘Golden City’ or the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’, the historic centre of Prague has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992.
