Two thirds of the way through my journey from Aarhus to Heathrow, I had just arrived at Stockholm Arlanda from Copenhagen and had just over three hours before my final flight of the day to London onboard SAS Connect. As such, it was time to try out SAS’s business class lounge at airport, having paid for access along with my flights.

CPH to ARN SAS Economy
With the first leg of my unplanned tour of Scandinavia completed, I had a booked 55-minute connection at Copenhagen airport to make the second leg, a flight from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Thankfully my flight from Aarhus had arrived in early, giving me an extra 10 minutes and reducing the stress slightly.
AAR to CPH CityJet opf SAS Economy
Having been abandoned at Aarhus airport by Ryanair, I had booked myself some alternative flights home and had stayed the night at the airport hotel. The following morning, I made the 20 second walk from my room back down to the check-in area, and checked myself in at one of the kiosks for the three legs of my journey home.
AAR to STN Cancelled & Abandoned by Ryanair
Having had an enjoyable 24 hours in the city of Aarhus, I had caught a very busy 925X bus back to the airport in plenty of time to catch my flight home. The buses are timed for specific flights, getting you to the airport around 90 minutes before the flight’s departure, but I had managed to get the bus before so was at the airport around 2 hours before we were due to take off back to Stansted.
STN to AAR Ryanair Economy
Unlike most years, in 2023 I had the August Bank Holiday free and with Beth at a festival, I decided to have a short trip away to a country I hadn’t visited in over two decades, Denmark. The country’s second city, Aarhus was my destination and as with many of my trips, this one started at London’s Stansted Airport.
KSC to STN Ryanair UK Economy
Having had a short but enjoyable time exploring Slovakia’s second city, I had jumped in a taxi from the outskirts of Košice’s old town to take me back to the airport in time for my flight back to the UK with Ryanair. Or at least Ryanair’s UK subsidiary, conveniently named Ryanair UK.
