Back in March Beth and I were fortunate enough to both have a Wednesday off work together and rather than wasting the day just pottering about at home, we decided to go on an adventure! As such we left the house at some ridiculously early hour and, at just before half past six, we were pulling into one of the car parks at Birmingham Airport ready to fly to Dublin.

LIS to LHR TAP Air Portugal Economy
After three days in exploring the Portuguese capital it was time to head home onboard a TAP Air Portugal flight from Lisbon to London Heathrow. Unfortunately I was still feeling the after effects of my spate of food poisoning and so wasn’t really ‘with it’ for the flight and as such this will be a relatively short post.
LHR to LIS TAP Air Portugal Economy
Founded in March 1945 as Transportes Aéreos Portugueses, TAP Air Portugal (TAP) is the national airline of Portugal and connects the Iberian nation with 90 destinations in 34 countries. One of those destinations is London Heathrow and back at the start of February we were at the London airport around 0600 ready to catch TAP’s first flight of the day to the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
ZRH to LCY Helvetic Airways Economy
I’d arrived in Zurich on a Croatia Airlines flight from Split and had just under four hours in the Swiss airport until the last leg of Snoozing to Split. This final flight was with Helvetic Airways, operating on behalf of Swiss, from Zurich to London City Airport.
SPU to ZRH Croatia Airlines Economy
Having spent four days on trains, making my way across Europe to Split, I had decided to take a faster and much easier way home, fly! However, being the off season, direct flights from Croatia’s second city to the UK were limited and so the journey home would be two legs, flying via an intermediate point from the journey to Split, Zurich.
GVA to LTN easyJet Economy
Having had a day exploring Geneva and a small part of the Swiss railway network, my day in Switzerland was drawing to a close. Starting the journey home with another trip on a loco-hauled InterRegio service from Brig, I travelled the one stop to the Geneva Airport terminus and headed back upstairs to reach the Airport itself.
