PBO – LDS LNER Mk4 – 1st Class

After getting back from our trip to York I wanted to try and have another go experiencing and reviewing LNER’s weekday first class service and so decided to make another trip to Yorkshire and visit the city of Leeds.

Toulouse

Back in October 2017, I took advantage of a mid-week day off and decided to visit the French city of Toulouse. Prior to this trip I had previously visited the region on a family holiday and had toured the Airbus facilities at Toulouse airport, however I had never had the opportunity to visit the city itself.

DUB to BHX Ryanair Economy

After an tiring but thoroughly enjoyable day in Dublin I jumped on an airport express bus outside Heuston station and started to make my way back to the airport. Heuston is the far end of the 747 route and for most of the day buses depart here for the airport every 10 minutes. Between the 747 and 757 routes most of the City Centre is directly accessible by bus from the airport, allowing minimum time on a day trip to be wasted on travel.

A Day in Dublin

Dublin is definitely worth a visit and, with connections to most of the UK courtesy of Ryanair, a day trip can easily be made worthwhile. I’ll definitely be heading back in the near future and can’t wait to learn more about the fabulous city.

t 0530 on a clear but cool morning in late August I arrived at Hampton-in-Arden station to the southeast of Birmingham to start my day trip to Dublin.

Whilst this post is going to contain the usual review of my journey and the on-board service, it also covers the worst delay I have experienced in my years travelling on the railway.
